In 2024 Wild Hearts Haven Had A Total of 24 Horses As Part of Our Program Throughout The Year. We Had An Intake Rate of 13 Horses In 2024 Compared to 18 In 2023. We Had 10 Owner Surrenders, 1 Transfer From Another Nonprofit, 1 Funded From A Local Auction, and One That Was Returned Due to No Fault Off His Own. While More Minimally Handled Horses Presented A Challenge for Us, We Were Able to Overcome This Buy Sending Four Horses to External Trainers to Get Started Under Saddle. In The Spring of 2024 We Received Free Vaccines Through The Unwanted Horse Veterinary Relief Campaign. This Allowed Us to Vaccinate Most of Our Herd With Spring Vaccines or Receive Their Initial Vaccines After Intake. We Also Were Grateful to Have A Promo Video Made for Us Free of Charge That We Used to Display At Events (Rocky Mountain Horse Expo and The Adams County Fair) to Start Conversations to Educate People On Intercepting Horses Early to Keep Them Out of The Slaughter Pipeline, As Well As The Importance of
