RESEARCH FUNDING IT is THE HOPE of THE FOUNDATION THAT WE WILL BE ABLE to SUPPORT RESEARCHERS and ORGANIZATIONS LOOKING to FIND ALTERNATIVES to THE CHEMOTHERAPY TREATMENT PEGASPARGASE AS WELL AS OTHER TREATMENTS for ACUTE LYMPHOBLASTIC LEUKEMIA (ALL). WE WILL BE LOOKING for ORGANIZATIONS, DEPARTMENTS, and RESEARCHERS to PROVIDE ASSISTANCE EACH CALENDAR YEAR WITH THE EXPECTATION THAT THEY ARE WORKING ON TREATMENT PLANS or CLINICAL TRIALS to PROVIDE ALTERNATIVES to TREATMENTS THAT LEAVE THE PATIENT WITH NO IMMUNE SYSTEM and NO ABILITY to FIGHT POTENTIAL INFECTIONS. RESEARCH GRANTS WILL BE MADE to HOSPITALS, INSTITUTIONS, or ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE WORKING ON ALTERNATIVE TREATMENTS or RUNNING CLINICAL TRIALS to SUPPORT LEUKEMIA PATIENTS WITHOUT COMPLETELY COMPROMISING THEIR IMMUNE SYSTEMS. THE GOAL WILL BE for EACH of THESE GRANTS to BE AT LEAST 15,000. A GRANT APPLICATION WILL BE REQUIRED. SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM IT is THE INTENTION of THE FOUNDATION to PROVIDE 3 ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS HONORING
