UNFORTUNATELY, THERE ARE NEGATIVE ASPECTS of HAVING to MEET AT THE PLACES MENTIONED ABOVE, SUCH AS BEING AT THE MERCY of OTHER ENTITIES SCHEDULING, INABILITY to ACCOMMODATE STORAGE NEEDS, ETC. WHILE THESE OTHER ORGANIZATIONS WANT to ASSIST WITH AA and AL-ANON, THAT is NOT THEIR PRIMARY PURPOSE. 24TH STREET, INC. WAS ESTABLISHED to MAKE SURE THAT AA and AL-ANON GROUPS IN ATHENS CAN FOCUS ALL of THEIR ENERGY ON RECOVERY (OR, IN THE CASE of AL-ANON, THE EFFECTS of ALCOHOLISM).
