THE REGISTRY EMPOWERS INDIVIDUALS to RECORD LEGALLY-BINDING CONSENT to POST-MORTEM ORGAN, EYE, and TISSUE DONATION for THE PURPOSES of TRANSPLANTATION, EDUCATION, or RESEARCH. IN ADDITION to MANAGING THE REGISTRY, DLT is A UNIFYING VOICE for DONATION IN THE STATE and PROVIDES PUBLIC EDUCATION, INFORMATION, and OUTREACH. WITH APPROXIMATELY 10,000 TEXANS AWAITING A LIFESAVING TRANSPLANT and THOUSANDS MORE AWAITING TISSUE or EYE DONATION, DLT WORKS to SAVE and IMPROVE LIVES BY ADDING PERSONNEL to THE ACTIVE REGISTRY. DUE to DLTS ONGOING EFFORTS, ALMOST 15.3 MILLION TEXANS ARE NOW REGISTERED APPROXIMATELY 62% of THE STATES POPULATION.
