What they do
The LBA Foundation Supported Over 600 Youths Across Eastern Iowa, Primarily In Cedar Rapids and Linn County. Our Efforts Are Centered On Helping Youths Get Connected to Something That They Feel Passionate About and Then Finding Resources to Help Them Pursue That Goal and Dream. We Took Over 60 Youths On Business Site Visits to Learn About Different Jobs and Industries, Held 4 Events In Area Parks to Encourage Exploration of Green Spaces, Conducted After School Gatherings At Local Gyms and Rec Centers Where We Had Over 422 Attendees During 2025. During The Past Year We Also Assisted 27 At Risk Youth to Achieve Their Diplomas and Helped Place 16 Students Into Summer Jobs and Internships. A Big Push for Our Organization Was Holding Seminars Where We Introduced Various Careers to Our Youths So They Could Realize How Many Options There Truly Are to Pursue--and These Seminars Had Over 126 Attendees. Additionally, We Continued Our Efforts to Help Remove Stigmas Around Talking About Mental Hea
