OUR GOAL AT BBSC is to PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY for BROADNECK-AREA CHILDREN of ALL LEVELS of ABILITY and INTEREST to PLAY SOFTBALL and BASEBALL IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT, EMPHASIZING SPORTSMANSHIP and FAIR PLAY. MOST IMPORTANTLY, WE SIMPLY WANT to MAKE SOFTBALL and BASEBALL A FUN and MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE for ALL. WE BELIEVE THAT COACHES and PARENTS ATTENDING GAMES and PRACTICES SHOULD BE ROLE MODELS for OUR CHILD ATHLETES and SHOULD ALWAYS CONDUCT THEMSELVES IN A WAY THAT EXHIBITS SPORTSMANSHIP and ADMIRABLE CONDUCT TOWARD OTHER PLAYERS, COACHES, UMPIRES and PARENTS. WE BELIEVE IN TEACHING THE SPORTS of BASEBALL and SOFTBALL and HAVE A MAJOR FOCUS ON TEACHING FUNDAMENTALS IN A WAY THAT MAKES THE SPORT FUN

Ask these three easy questions

  1. Who did you help? Ask for a recent story or report that shows real results.
  2. What will my money do? Ask exactly what your gift will pay for.
  3. Is this really the charity? Give only through its official website or confirmed phone number.

Bottom line: Do not decide from a name, mission statement, or tax status alone. Look at where the money went, then ask what changed, who was helped, and what your gift will do. YouCanGiveBack does not endorse or grade organizations.

A plain-language look at the latest Form 990 figures available. These numbers help you ask better questions; they do not, by themselves, rate whether a charity is good or bad.

How each $100 of revenue was used

Has the pattern changed?

Colored bars = expense mix: how each year’s expenses were divided. Total expenses vs. revenue shows whether the charity spent less or more than it received. The current filing is first.
