PINCHOT PARTNERS

EIN 20-3689613 · Forest Conservation (C36)

What they do

RECONCILIATION of UNITED STATES FOREST SERVICE and THE LOCAL COMMUNITY- THERE is A DECADES LONG ANIMOSITY BETWEEN BETWEEN THE FOREST SERVICE and THE PERMANENT RESIDENTS of THE COWLITZ VALLEY. THE FOREST SERVICE ROUTINELY ROTATES PERSONNEL THROUGH DISTRICTS for THEY DO NOT ASSIMILATE INTO THE COMMUNITY. THIS is BY DESIGN. THE LOCAL COMMUNITY REGARDS THE FOREST SERVICE AS AN "OCCUPYING ARMY" LOCATED IN THEIR COMMUNITY. FOREST SERVICE COMMUNICATION WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY HAS HISTORICALLY BEEN ABSENT or MINIMAL. THERE is TRULY AN "US and THEM" ATTITUDE. THIS MENTALITY DOES NOT SERVE THE COMMUNITY, THE FOREST SERVICE, or THE NATIONAL FOREST WELL. FROM ITS INCEPTION, PINCHOT PARTNERS HAS SOUGHT to BREAK DOWN THE WALLS BETWEEN THE FOREST SERVICE and THE COMMUNITY. WE HOLD MONTHLY and ANNUAL MEETINGS WHERE COMMUNITY MEMBERS and FOREST SERVICE STAFF ALIKE ARE INVITED to PROVIDE FEEDBACK. JOINT MEETINGS HAVE NOW BECOME THE NORM WITH PINCHOT PARTNERS ATTENDING FOREST SERVICE INTEGRATED TEAM MEE

Ask these three easy questions

  1. Who did you help? Ask for a recent story or report that shows real results.
  2. What will my money do? Ask exactly what your gift will pay for.
  3. Is this really the charity? Give only through its official website or confirmed phone number.

Bottom line: Do not decide from a name, mission statement, or tax status alone. Look at where the money went, then ask what changed, who was helped, and what your gift will do. YouCanGiveBack does not endorse or grade organizations.
